Tri-Protein Blend – Each serving of Muscle Optimeal® contains 42 grams of high biological value protein from Whey, Milk and Rice, providing more than 5 grams of Branched Chain Amino Acids (Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine). Whey protein is the king of proteins because it is the richest natural source of Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs). BCAAs are depleted during intense exercise, which can lead to a loss of muscle tissue. Dietary BCAAs are important for enhanced muscle development, muscle repair and the synthesis of carbohydrates (gluconeogenesis). BCAAs are essential amino acids and must be provided in the diet, since they are not manufactured in the body. Whey protein is also a great source of immunoglobulins, which are specialized proteins (antibodies) that support the immune process.
